Safeguards Technology present their new products the Pipeline Track & Trace™ Fiber Optic Detection System and Fiber Guard™ Intrusion Detection System at ISC West.

Safeguards Technology LLC will be introducing two new products at the ISC West – International Security Conference, to be held April 1-3, 2009 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV (booth #23077).

Pipeline Track & Trace

Being unveiled at the booth are Pipeline Track & Trace™ Fiber Optic Detection System and Fiber Guard™ Intrusion Detection System, Safeguards newest editions to an elite product line.

Safeguards Technology’s Pipeline Track & Trace Fiber Optic Detection System is an efficient and cost-effective solution for protecting pipeline infrastructure whether above ground, buried, or underwater. This all-optical fiber sensor consists of segments that can stretch up to 50km without field repeaters, processors, or any other powered components in the field, thereby drastically reducing the installation cost.

The sensing cable can be mounted directly to a pipeline or buried underground. It requires no electrical grounding, is unaffected by lightning storms and is resistant to extreme cold, heat, and underwater elements.

FiberGuard

Safeguards Technology’s FiberGuard Fiber Optic Intrusion Detection System is now available for any facility that strives to improve perimeter security while providing continuous 24-hour monitoring for the protection of lives and property. It is ideal for airports, energy plants and substations, military facilities, water reservoirs and treatment grounds, factories, storage areas, business parks, cell phone towers, harbors, and anywhere that perimeter security is required.

FiberGuard incorporates the latest and most advanced fiber-optic technology into a highly effective intrusion detection system. The system works by sensing disturbances along a perimeter by using FBG fiber optic cable coupled with a high-speed processor that will alert potential intrusions while minimizing false and nuisance alarms.
