Richco has an extensive range of fibre optic products which meet the requirements of Telecomm and Data Comm applications at all levels of fibre optic equipment, ranging form fibre management at PCB level, fibre optic storage, protection and installation through to the use of fibre optics in the car.

We provide solutions for space saving, reliability and signal transmission. Richco has been selected by the relevant key members of the M.O.S.TTM committee for data transmission and fibre protection in the car.

Richco's fibre optic products offers a complete solution to the problem of managing fibre optic cabling, from the point of breaking into the armoured cable, right to the users desk. We aim to give both the installer and user total peace of mind that fibre optic cabling is protected at all times in all circumstances.

Our most recent product innovation to be introduced into the fibre optic market is our protective bend limiting tubing. Fibre protection is especially important in the routing of fibre in racks, patch panels, buildings and to the termination point.

The prevention of signal loss through over bending, kinking and crushing of the fibre can be overcome if our unique patented bend limiting tubing is used. Our product offers the flexibility to prevent the overbending of fibre in the application and will give a constant bend radius of 30mm. Our bend limiting tubing also offers exceptional crush and shock resistance preventing the fibre from being broken, should it be accidentally damaged from routine maintenance.

A range of fittings and adapters are available for use with our bend limiting tubing and allows fibre routing management, patching, reconfiguration and rough handling to occur repeatedly without fibre breaks or unintentional transmission loss.

Richco's bend limiting tubing is made from polypropylene and is available in a 5mm and 6.3mm diameter is can be produced up to any length. It is also available in a pull cord version to ease fibre threading and in a split version to assist in retro fitting to existing installations, a Richco zip tool can be used to aid the fibre threading process. The internal surface of the tubing is smooth to prevent the fibre 'catching' when it is being threaded.
