Over the past six decades, the Ford E Series Econoline has been a workhorse in the Ford commercial vehicles fleet. With a heavy duty truck chassis and a high cargo capacity, the highly versatile Ford E350 can be configured to accommodate different types of cargo as well as passengers.
In high risk environments where private corporations are setting up operations such as the Iraqi oilfields, armored vehicles are required to transport employees to work sites and compounds. IAG is capable of converting the Ford E350 into an armored passenger van/minibus for these types of applications.
The Ford E350 is a suitable chassis for up-armoring. The heavy duty truck frame is capable of supporting high payload capacities and up to the CEN B6 level armoring. The armored van is capable of defeating multiple impacts of 7.62x51mm rifle ammunition as well as lesser ballistic threats. In addition, the armored vehicle protects the occupants from explosive threats as well.
The Ford E350 is available with either the 5.4L V8 gasoline engine or the 6.8L V10 gasoline engine with 4-speed or 5-speed automatic transmission. Diesel engine is not currently available for the 2011 model year.
With high precision measuring and laser cutting equipment in-house, IAG is capable of configuring the Ford E350 armored van with various seating layouts. IAG can install individual bucket seats with custom rail mounts and 3-point or 4-point seatbelts as per required specs. Alternatively, custom bench seats can be installed to maximize passenger capacity. The rear compartment can be equipped with windows (clear/tinted) or retain the factory steel exterior.
The IAG armored Ford E350 Passenger Van can be ordered with different configurations to meet specific requirements. If you are interested, please contact us for more information.
