Kaspersky Hosted Security Services Prevent Malicious Content From Reaching The Corporate Network. Guaranteed 95% Minimum Spam Detection Rate.

Kaspersky Lab, a leading provider of security solutions that protect against viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, crimeware, rootkits, phishing, hacker attacks and spam, today announced the availability of Kaspersky®
Hosted Security Services. Performance of these new services are guaranteed by Service Level Agreements to eliminate current and future threats carried via email, before they are able to infiltrate the corporate network.

Hosted Security Services

Kaspersky® Hosted Security Services can be deployed at around 30% of the cost of procuring and administering an in-house email protection solution, keeping corporate gateways free from spam, phishing attacks, Trojans and other malware, as well as acting as an email firewall and preventing DoS and directory harvest attacks on mail servers. The service is available as a stand-alone Anti-Spam (AS), or as a combination of both Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus for maximum protection against unwanted messages and malicious attachments.

Hosted Email Security AS (Anti-Spam)

Kaspersky® Hosted Email Security AS (Anti-Spam) combines a wide range of market-leading anti-spam technologies and delivers flexibility in how they are handled, for example placing them in quarantine or having freely-definable terms or phrases added to the subject line. Kaspersky® Hosted Email Security AV (Anti-Virus) utilises Kaspersky Lab's award-winning antivirus engine, together with its proprietary technology, BitHunt, to ensure protection against zero hour threats, as well as other 3rd party industry-leading technologies. This layered approach delivers the security industry's highest malware detection capability.

IDC estimates that the messaging security market will more than double from $2 billion in 2006 to $4.8 billion in 2011. Among the components of the market -- software, appliance and hosted services -- IDC predicts hosted services will be the fastest growing, underlining the benefits and mainstream acceptance of security-as-a-service (1).
"Hosted services are increasingly popular amongst organisations of all sizes and this growth will continue, eventually gaining market share from appliance, as well as software vendors," says the Director of Hosted Security Services Europe at Kaspersky Lab, Guenter Fuhrmann. "The excellent reputation of our software solutions with consumers, businesses and OEM partners alike provides the cornerstone to our success in the field of hosted security. Offering such services is both a natural progression in product development for Kaspersky Lab, as well as being mission critical to our success now and in the future."

Sales Director for UK and Ireland at Kaspersky Lab, Simon Geach adds, "We are extending Kaspersky® Hosted Security Services to the UK market following success in Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria and Russia. In doing so, we are furthering our existing portfolio of endpoint security solutions with hosted security services for the protection of email-based spam and malware." Geach concludes, "This additional layer of security provides end-users with an alternative approach to using our award-winning technology for desktop security. A simple and rapid deployment ensures immediate protection, without a lengthy integration process, whilst helping to reduce the overall cost of ownership."

Until 21st April 2008 Kaspersky Lab is offering organisations with up to 250 users the opportunity to trial Kaspersky® Hosted Security Services free of charge. Terms and conditions apply.
