Ovation Systems to Distribute Cypher Technology's PUMA Automated Archiving System

Ovation Systems is pleased to announce an agreement with Cypher Technology to distribute their PUMA automated media card archiving system.

PUMA was designed in conjunction with the UK police to meet the exacting requirements of law enforcement organisations when handling video, audio and picture evidence gathered on removable media cards. 

The key to PUMA is its simplicity. Once a media card is inserted into PUMA’s multiple card reader, just a few button presses are all that is required to generate a bit-for-bit master copy of the evidence to a CD or DVD with data verification.  PUMA can then produce number of working copies that are processed and authored for ease of playback as required by the user.

Media Archiving System

This type of archiving operation using a standard PC requires a number of software packages, specialist training and is evidentially insecure.  With PUMA, handling and archiving of highly sensitive media card evidence is now quick and easy, requiring minimal operator training.

PUMA has been very well received by the UK police and won second place in the 2009 Equipment Technology and Innovation Awards organized by the UK’s Home Office Scientific Development Branch.
