Security Foiling Limited choose Mercy Ships

This year Security Foiling Limited choose Mercy Ships as their nominated charity and have just sent their first cash donation of £1,250.00 to this worthy cause.

This represents £5 for every MicroPOISE machine sold into Africa and we hope that as our sales continue to increase then so will our contributions to the excellent work of Mercy Ships.

Security Foiling learnt about the work that Mercy Ships do in West Africa and decided to support them.

Operations Manager, Mark Filby said: "I heard that the Africa Mercy was anchored off Togo and spoke to our employee Marcel. I knew that Marcel's father who lives in Togo had an eye complaint. Marcel phoned his father - and not long after he got in touch with Mercy Ships and he received specialist treatment."

Employee Marcel, who originates from Togo, said: "my father had his eye operation on board the Africa Mercy. Without the support and generosity of volunteers and companies Mercy Ships would not be possible."

Mick Castleton, Technical Director, said: "Being aware of our corporate responsibility and with substantial increased sales from Africa, we have been looking for some time for a suitable charity to support which could help African people in need."

Mercy Ships is an international charity that provides free medical care and humanitarian aid to the poorest countries in the world. In the developing world, lack of access to basic health care can have horrific results

We will continue to think of ideas that will attract personal sponsorship to the benefit of Mercy Ships. Kathleen, Sales Administrator at Security Foiling, will take part in this year's Dublin Marathon in aid of Mercy Ships. Visit www.justgiving.com/kathleen-bennett for the full story.
