OMNIA _WIFI: "The Wi-Fi Access Controller" from Bioaccez Controls

Wireless Systems are the latest technology and open up new solutions for home, commercial and industrial security, where wired systems would be complicated to set up or unsuitable.

Wireless Access Control Systems

In recent years, wireless systems have proved to be very popular with professional installers and consumers, as they have become aware of the various applications and advantages this type of system can offer, compared to the wired equivalent. One of the best examples we cand found is in the field of home alarm systems, where they come in a variety of shapes and sizes nowadays, from very basic motion-activated alarms through fully monitored home security systems. In between lie a number of variations on a theme, including trip wires, motion sensors, closed circuit telemetry and more.

OMNIA Wi-Fi Wireless Access Control

Pulling wire is one of the most intensive activities of a security system installation. With the growing use of access control systems in facilities, secure ways of avoiding that expense should be welcomed by security dealers, systems integrators and their customers.

Besides not having to pull wires, wireless access control systems can be valuable for retrofitting in existing buildings where wiring installation might be difficult, such as concrete block or historic buildings, and for connecting to remote locations, such as guard houses or gates.

These advantages are becoming more attainable with each improvement in wireless technology. As wireless communication broadcast distances and encryption improve, the devices are finding wider acceptance in the security distribution market

The Bioaccez Controls product OMNIA-WIFI is a wireless LAN 2 door controller ideal for for the medium-sized commercial business market, where the advanced functionality fulfils companies' requirements, and where the price, size and complexity of the system are manageable for the business. The memory size is of 10.000 users, and stores the last 10.000 events.

The hardware controller has an extra RS485 bus for the connection of standard peripherals like Wiegand proximity readers, magstripe but also biometric fingerprint readers like the BIOMET (capacitive technology) or BIOPTEC (Optic technology). Both readers have the ability to work in “fingerprint only” mode and store 1900 or 500 fingerprints. The OMNIA controller can recognise one fingerprint in less than 1 second.

Access Control Software

The OMNIA-WIFI is controlled by the software TRANSEO, that allows the on-line settings, but then they are memorized in the controllers and the software connects with a pull system, so it's not necessary a continuous connection.

TRANSEO Access Control Software

The software, apart from the standard features of time-zones, calendar, groups, badge-holders control, allows to declare "alarm" badges, "pass" badges not subjected to APB features. The system allows V.I.P access with escort entrance control. It is specially interesting the Graphic interface allowing the import of BMP or JPG maps, and to place reader icons, relays, push-buttons over the map. Different levels of maps are also allowed. When an action, the icon changes color or form.

A technical selection allows to adjust the technical parameters like "length of the data sequence", start/stop bits etc. Allows the management of elevator lifts until 100 levels and Connection to CCTV recorders too.
