In 1873 G. Boon founded a carpentry shop in Amsterdam where he supplied his first revolving door over a hundred years ago. Since that day the company has grown to become the acknowledged global market leader. In 1970 the company moved to Edam and changed its name to Boon Edam. This heralded a new era of expansion: in the last decades of the twentieth century Boon Edam has built a worldwide distribution network, resulting in subsidiary companies in 15 countries, factories in China, the Netherlands and the USA and authorised distributors in over 55 other countries.

But Boon Edam stands for more than just revolving doors. We have developed one of the most sophisticated ranges of Security Access products available today.

Security Doors and Portals

Boon Edam security doors and portals prevent unauthorised entrance to secured areas. They are to be found in areas where a high level of security has to be balanced with ease and speed of operation. With a Tourlock or Circlelock Security Door, surveillance by a third party, such as guards, is no longer necessary due to sophisticated Biometric and StereoVision technology, detecting tailgating and piggybacking. Boon Edam Security Doors offer many options in design and finish, and can be manufactured to match or compliment a variety of interiors and facades.

Pedestrian Security Lanes

Boon Edam pedestrian security lanes are designed to create a barrier between a secure and non secure area within a building. The Speedlane and Swinglane security turnstile ranges allow for fast, smooth and efficient access control in two directions, while keeping security at its highest with anti tailgating and piggybacking detection.

The Airport Swinglane is the newest edition to the Swinglane range, ideally suited to passenger terminals. Incorporating stricter security controls, the self-boarding Airport Swinglane allows passengers to self-board within a secure area.

The Security Access range is further completed with Waist High Turnstiles, Full Height Turnstiles and Access Gates & Barriers.

Our Advanced Door Care programmes offer service and maintenance that will assure you that continued safety and operation of our products is readily at hand. We know our products are often used at main entrances or high security areas.
